Geomant is awarded two key ISO certifications to kick off 2020 on a high

Geomant has celebrated the start of a brand-new decade with the exciting news that the company has been awarded two key ISO accreditations - ISO 27001 and ISO 20000. The ISO accreditations Geomant has received demonstrate our commitment to both information security management and IT service management and will deliver a wide range of benefits to our staff, partners and customers. Let’s take a closer look at the two ISO certifications Geomant has received and what they mean.

Learn more about ISO 27001

ISO 27001 is the international standard that provides the specification for an information security management system (ISMS), a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organisation's information risk management processes. ISO 27001 certification provides multiple benefits including:

  • protecting of the confidentiality of information whilst ensuring the integrity of business data and the availability of IT systems.
  • providing confidence to our customers that Geomant maintains the highest standards of information security.
  • reduces disruption to critical processes and the financial losses associated with a breach.

Achieving the high standards required for ISO 27001 certification demonstrates that at Geomant, we take a proactive approach to towards information security threats, putting systems and processes in place to ensure we are prepared for a breach should one occur.

ISO 20000 is a global standard that sets out best practice for companies or organisations with an information technology service management (ITSM) system. The ISO 20000 certification requirements were developed to mirror the best practices described within the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.

By achieving ISO 20000, Geomant has proven that we have in place the management processes to deliver more effective IT services, both internally and for our customers and partners.
